Vacuum Pump + Blower Sales Engineer – Central Scotland

Airmac-GDI Limited is a young, dynamic Vacuum Pump and Blower Sales and Service business based in Cumbernauld, Central Scotland who are looking to support and maintain its continued growth by recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer.
The successful candidate shall be responsible for engaging with new and existing customers to develop sales opportunities across the Industrial Vacuum + Blower business sectors.
This role mainly covers the Central belt of Scotland and involves working with customers to uncover and understand their requirements, and to collaborate with the technical team to create detailed work packages that deliver successful project sales outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries, investigating the technical and commercial requirements for product and project sales opportunities,
- Follow the sales process from inquiry through to purchase order, ensuring compliance with customer timescales,
- Negotiate and close sales, working with the management team to provide win-win outcomes.
- Nurture existing customers, providing technical support where required and generally bridging the gap between the customer and technical team.
Skills and Experience
- Desire to work in a technical sales, engineering, or business development role,
- Strong communication, written and presentation skills as this role will require frequent face-to-face engagement with customers.
- Strong numeric, process reasoning and planning skills,
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to build and sustain customer relationships.
- Effective collaborator, capable of building relationships across business functions,
