Cube to the Rescue

Cube to the Rescue

The picture below, believe it or not, is a CompAir L45SR Compressor which has sustained, what can only be classed as substantial fire damage.

Airmac Air Compressor Maintenance Contract

At 2:15 am we received a call from our client to inform us that there had been an electrical fault which had stared a fire resulting in damage to one of their essential air compressors. Within 45 minutes an experienced two-man team was assembled and were on-site at our client in Grangemouth by 3 am.

The picture above is what we found when we were called to the site in the wee small hours of Monday the 15th of June.

When we arrived we quickly confirmed the obvious that the air compressor was very badly damaged and beyond any form of repair, a new compressor was required in order to continue with their daily business.

The next challenge was to get some form of air compressor on-site ASAP to provide air to the day shift that would be starting at 6.00 am.

This damaged compressor is one of 2 air compressors on-site, which both need to run to maintain the air pressure on site.  Our primary challenge was to fill in the gap so the site could operate at 100% capacity.

Airmac Air Compressors

This was the solution which we managed to have on-site, electrically and mechanically connected and fully operational. We didn’t manage to have this up and running at 6.00 am, however by 9.00 am, we had the site fully operational.

Inside this Weather Proof Cube is a Vertical Hydrovane Compressor. No need to worry about where to site it. This unit can easily withstand anything the Scottish weather throws at it.

As it’s summer, all we need to worry about is rain, heavy wind and obviously a touch of frost.
